Workshop Objectives
The objectives of this NSF workshop include:
Review of the state-of-the-art in basic research on additive manufacturing (AM/3D printing) for health;
Examination of future prospects of AM for health and sharing of perspectives on AM for health from funding agencies such as DoD, NIH, NIST, FDA, and NSF;
Identification of needs, gaps and challenges facing AM for health; and
Formulation of recommendations for basic research initiatives.
Intended Workshop Attendees
Researchers who are interested in engaging in AM for health research; and
Administrators and decision makers who support and facilitate AM for health research.
Workshop Updates
(02/05/16) Due to overwhelming participation responses, we have moved our workshop venue from the NSF Headquarters to Holiday Inn Arlington (4610 N. Fairfax Dr.), which is a few blocks away from the NSF Headquarters; and
(02/05/16) Registration is re-opened to accommodate more attendees.
